We are should be feminist

We are should be feminist. This is announcement from a Negirian author Chimamanda Ngozi. My wife is so proud and motivated after listening her TED talk, my wife bought her book immediately. I got my credit card sms on Amazon purchase.
I always hated the thinking of Feminist. The people talk about female empowerment. They mostly talk about the disadvantage they have as female, they wants to give more reservation for female, they wanted to extra meal for female.
I am always against this topic because I had respect to my mother, sisters, my wife and other women. Important discussion at home always had my mother’s approval. I was always a mother child till moved away, and even now all my values are built by her. At my home, we always respect and love our ladies. This is the same thing I have always seen in my part of world. It is true that in my work place we had less women in management. This reason was simple; most of the women didn’t want to take up the tension because of their parental responsibilities. I have seen great women managers. They have built highly co operative culture with 100 plus employees. I do not want to take the example of Indira Gandhi or Chanda Kochhar. It is very true that due to parental responsibility, most of the women has to stay at home but why cant they go post that. They may be morally down, but cant we support them and motivated them to pursue a career. This is the question? Are they ready to learn new skills to take up a career? Do they really want to contribute to family finance?
The questions and solutions are endless…. If you are a fighter you have everything at any situation.
But my wife always had different perceptive.
So too much of discussion at home about this book ‘we all should be feminist’ by Chimamanda Ngozi, made me read that book. Contrary to my wife they author talk this issue in a short and direct to the point with few examples from her wife. I started reading the book because of less number of pages and from the first page I could relate her narration.
The author talks about the cultural system, why only boy pays the bill after a date? Even if a lady pays the tip to waiter, why waiter would to thank the man? Because the waiter thinks that the source of the tip is from the man. Honestly I could not believe this.
Last day I went to a sweet shop with my family. My wife asked the shop keeper, a sample piece of sweet to taste. He ignored her! 2 or 3 times she asked, shop keeper ignored her!!, Then I asked sweet to taste, shop keeper give the sweet, even before I have completed my request.
I told this incident at office, with a lot of surprise. One lady colleague said, it is very normal. This is a small shocking to me. This takes me to the book again and refer to the actual meaning of Feminist -  It means , A person who believes that women should have the same rights as men.

I wont request anyone to be an activist to support feminist. Even I am not planning to do. But we have to bring a Feminist culture at least at our home and work place. That will help to spread across the world. So are you a Feminist ?

My Parrot.....

I bought a parrot.... I bought a cage for the parrot.... I did everything to make the parrot comfortable... but I put the parrot in the cage... I fed the parrot.... I thought her call my name... I am used to hear my name in the morning... My mornings have a meaning.... That took me to different level of person... The person I wanted... The person I dream of.... I still awake with my parrots call... I earned the ability to do things for parrot... I have decorated the cage with gold... The cage made of gold... But I noticed my parrot... Is she happy?  She is calling me still... Is she satisfied ? That made me think... I saw the pain in her face... I saw the dryness in her voice... I saw the weakness in her smile.... I have open the door of her golden cage.... I want to free you up... Parrot  is not able to walk through the doors... Parrot worried about her duty... Parrot still awake me... from her open cage... with no energy no enthusiasm.... ...

Captain Phillips Movie Review

Captain Philips is a film by director Paul Greengrass based on the hostage situation of Captain Richard Philips during the ship hijacking by Somalian pirates in 2009. Tom Hanks played the role of Captain Philips and as always my favourite actor has done justice to his role. The movie starts with Captain Philips’s journey from his home to ship departure land Salaala port. Captain Philips commands the ship Maersk Alabama, travelling from Oman – Kenya, through the danger zone, Somalia. It shows an ordinary start for an ordinary man. Then movie takes us to Somalia and shows how pirates are forced to attack ships. Pirates are played by Somalian actors. Pirate’s leader is Abduwali Muse, played by Barkhad Abdi. It shows the risk and athletic effort taken by pirates, onscreen in a documentary kind of realistic way. At the same time the helplessness of the ship crew to protect themselves without an armed security is also shown in a parallel manner. The Captain takes all pos...
