Style of leadership

What is the quality of a leader ? 

A person should see the future, able to set a path and communicate to all, inspire all during the high and low times. For that leader should be a role model, open to accept different type people with integrity and respect. 

Ladies and Gentleman, Do you think, a leadership be like a Bhahubali who can hit everyone and save his mother and country? Not necessary, leader can be anyone. There is no need of special type of style to be a great leader. If you look at any form of games you will able to see successful people doesnt have any particular look or color, all learders are unique. 

I used to be a Kabadi player, during my college days. I was a sports quota student, it made my possible to get admission in good colllege with low grade. My leadership lesson, I have leanred from Kabadi court than class rooms. Kabadi is an interesting game. 7 players each team, competing to score points. One member from one to go for a ride to other team. His job is to touch someone from the opponent team and go back. That 7 member team is not standing to give points. They are trying to catch the rider. To do that, rider need courage and skill. To catch the rider, 7 team members has to work as a team, protect each other. This needed a coordiation and practice. I had the fortune to lead this team and the tournament first time for the college. 

|It gave me confidence to lead a team, even though I was not a good communicator or role model. But I was disciplined. My entire life as leader, I could see the reflection from my Kabadi days. 

This project has an opportunity to relook at my style of leadership, I have scored high for my democratic and affiliative style of leadership. I love to set an example and move to the side. I love my people to take over the task from me. At my work place. I have noticed, my team members were relectent to speak in meetings. Whenever I speak, people never opened up and responded. I have tried many ways, I used joke, specifically call out names. No, response. It is important, the same can happen, when the client calls. I have explained our Toastmaster structure to once my team member and she has set a Personal developmemt activity each week for half an hour just like Toastmasters. Now its almost 1 year. I could see, the improvement of my team. 

I have scored less in pace setting and coaching style of leadership. This is one area, I have seen, myself I could work. I always, wonder why are we not progressing faster, whenever I acheive success. One area, I have seen is people who really have the fire to work is good to work with me. But people need motivation and too much of hand holding is not really good performers with me. I have to fix this area. 

Leadership style is unique. Once, I was one day I was with a client and received a big cheque for the company. My team members all appreciated my work over there, same day I reached home late. My wife was really anger, to make her happy, I cooked late night dinner and cleaned all the plates. As I leader, I was successful that day, all my stake holders was happy. Its all about, identify your style of leadership and deliver result.

Captain Phillips Movie Review

Captain Philips is a film by director Paul Greengrass based on the hostage situation of Captain Richard Philips during the ship hijacking by Somalian pirates in 2009. Tom Hanks played the role of Captain Philips and as always my favourite actor has done justice to his role. The movie starts with Captain Philips’s journey from his home to ship departure land Salaala port. Captain Philips commands the ship Maersk Alabama, travelling from Oman – Kenya, through the danger zone, Somalia. It shows an ordinary start for an ordinary man. Then movie takes us to Somalia and shows how pirates are forced to attack ships. Pirates are played by Somalian actors. Pirate’s leader is Abduwali Muse, played by Barkhad Abdi. It shows the risk and athletic effort taken by pirates, onscreen in a documentary kind of realistic way. Angry

Oh my baby, Why are you getting angry? I dont want you to be angry. Its not because, I cant bear Its because, anger hurt you you are angry, because you are sad or mad or upset with something because, you are not able to stand with something you want me to behave certain why the minute,it breach you are upset and angry !! cant you accept, external environment ? things which are not in your control accept them, the way it is rather than getting hurt because of climate change Rain will come and go you dont have a control you can enjoy the rain or you be sad because of rain If you are sad about it, you will be angry If you enjoy it, you spread the happiness :) I want you to be happy, my baby!! That why I am sad, when you get angry!!! I can bear you, even if you are moody, angry !!! I know, when you anger you hurt, more than anyone else !!!!
